The programming contest provides students with the opportunities to interact with students from other universities and to sharpen and demonstrate their problem solving, programming and team work skills. The contest provides a platform to the Industry and Academia to encourage and focus public attention on the next generation of computing professionals as they pursue excellence.

WHAT IS INTELLIVISION:

The contest is a competition among teams of students representing institutions of higher education. This event will be conducted in two stages preliminary round and final on-stage round. In this event, the ability of participants to implement innovative algorithms and make use of data structures in the best possible manner will be tested. This is a C / C++ programming contest.

ELIGIBILITY CRIETERIA:

  • Students should bring their Institute's Identity cards with them.
  • A Team can compromise of 2  students.
  • Each team will use a single workstation.

Scheme of Event is as following

Round Description
Preliminary An objective type paper will be given to the participants. Teams who perform well in the Preliminary round will be selected for final rounds.
Final This will be an on the spot coding contest. Participants will be given problems or algorithms for which they have to write an optimized code in C / C++ that solves the given problem.
Final-I 5 Questions based on above stated parameters of Final Round to be completed in 1 hour.

AT THE INTELLIVISION:
PRELIMINARY ROUND

Preliminary round will be conducted for teams and not individuals.

* Every team will be given an objective type paper based on C/C++.
* Top 8 scoring teams will qualify for round 2.

This will be a two-tiered on the spot coding contest. Every team will be given problems or algorithms for which they have to write an optimized code in C / C++ that solves the given problem.

* 5-10 questions will be given to the team.
* Each question carries 10 points.
* Time limit is 1 hour to solve all the five problems.
* Criteria for evaluation will be logic, clarity of code and output.

The top two teams getting the highest combined score of the two rounds will receive cash prizes, as under:-

Winners will be announced during the closing plenary. The decision of the Judges will be final and binding. Participation certificates will be given to all the participants.

Please note that all the awards will be distributed during Valedictory Session at the end.
