Academics are definitely a top most priority @ BVICAM. But, at BVICAM thrust is always to develop a work-environment that is akin to corporate culture. The objective of this endeavor is to harness the creative ideas of the young minds to the fullest, developing team spirit amongst them and improving their "'Soft-Skills".

Highlights of some of the activities that are organized from time to time are as under:

FUN ZONE

• Our Students have participated in various National Level Co-curricular and Extra Curricular Activities at DIAS, JIMS, BDCIIT, GGSIPU, BVIMR, BVCOE, Jamia Hamdard, Andhra University, PMI, PCC, Hyderabad, etc. and have won more than 60 prizes.
• To imbibe literacy and social interest amongst the students Annual Fests have been organized, in which besides Technical and Cultural activities, Kavi Sammelan remains special attraction.
• Dramatics and Music…Students have done amazingly well in the Inter University and College festivals. Their performances have been appreciated from all corners and have bagged several prizes.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

SWAYAM (Students Working at Youth Awareness and Motivation): The students have voluntarily formed an organization that is working towards social cause - 'SWAYAM'. The first achievement was the successful organization of "Free Literacy Week" within the Institute premises. It was heartening to see students persuading the children of Government schools to join the workshop and subsequently taking on the challenge of teaching them the basics of computers. Hands on training to them was given on - Computer Concepts, DOS, Windows, MSOFFICE, INTERNET, etc. SWAYAM'S future endeavor includes working on "Save Environment".

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• In order to provide live exposure of the Industrial practices, industrial visits are organized regularly.
• Regularly, on every Saturday, activities like Technical Paper Presentation, Extempore, Creative Writing, Group Discussions, QUIZ, Software Case Studies and its Design are being organized, to bring all round personality development of students.
• Regular aptitude and analytical tests are conducted in the
• Institute for enhancing the IQ as well as EQ of the students. It helps them in the recruitment process.
• Due care is given on overall Personality Development and Attitude Building.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSULTANCY CENTRE

Institute has a dedicated “Software Development & Consultancy Centre” (SDCC). At SDCC, students under the guidance of faculty members undertake live projects based on S/W development, MIS Design, Consultancy, etc. in consultation with the industry. Numerous Software development and consultancy based live projects outsourced by different business houses have already been developed & delivered and many are in pipeline. The Centre also undertakes customized and need based training programmes for employees of different corporate establishments/Institutes in their specific area of specialization at different levels. The Centre has certification tie-up with Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Systems, RedHat & CISCO for training and certification on their specialized modules.
